In volos wake pdf download

The cultists were an optional encounter staging add-on. It looks like it was removed when the module had gone through AL editing. Hope that helps. Sorry for the confusion. I'm sure at some point someone's going to cast an identify spell on one - How has everyone else navigated this? Did you make them into homebrew items? Or just shiny rocks that were magicked by the hag? They did explicitly give advantage on certain rolls, but other than that, we're kept in the dark about their powers.

On page 19, in the flesh gnawer statistics, it says "Shortsword. Why did someone replace "adventurer" with "character" in this entire thing? It makes some of the sentences make no sense!

The very first encounter has the PCs interacting with a self-style "hobby-character"? Come on guys! I know that this is free right now, but it still should meet some basic standards! I actually enjoyed these mini adventures a lot, but they are really tough for brand new, 1st level adventurers because the experience does not tier correctly. For example, the gnoll adventure is meant to be taken on by 2nd level adventurers, but the first module only gives them XP, not enough to get them to 2nd level.

Some small adjustments will have to be made by the DM to make this a truly great campaign. When my players were tasked to look for Alana Hallwinter, they asked "what does she look like? I don't even know what race she is--sometimes she's lumped in with the dwarf friends and I infer she's also a dwarf, other times she's separated from her dwarf friends suggesting she's other than a dwarf. It would be nice if there was something like this: "Like many other teenagers in Phandalin, Alana Hallwinter female NG dwarf commoner enjoys socializing, nice clothes, walks through the woods, and adventures with her friends.

She's known to often weave colorful ribbons in her hair. It certainly should give such information. She would most likely be human, or at least half. Honestly, I don't know who I'd be without these adventures. Thank you! Please fix the typos.

The repeated use of "characters" grates on me more every time I see it. Fun little adventures that have otherwise been stained by poor writing and no effort made to fix said poor writing. This was a nice collection of adventures.

Pretty well spelled out. I used it as my first attempt and DMing and it went fairly smoothly. A nice mix of combat and non combat actions can be taken. I found the difficulty of the encounters to be a bit lacking but if i was to run it again i would just add a couple more monsters. This adventure does a nice job at taking a low tier party and letting them go up against some different enemies than would normally be faced by a lvl 1 party.

The mission hooks were a little stale basically amounting to someone went missing go find them 4 times in a row but it was overall pretty fun. A very nice little collection of adventures. Great for new players and older ones alike, and good for experimenting with different DM styles for new DMs. Each adventure has a slightly different 'feel' to it - for example the first mini-adventure can be pretty hilarious, while the second can be frankly horrifying and the third is incredibly surreal with a hint of humour.

Hack and slash vs roleplaying vs puzzles. The adventures show off each of the pillars in an interesting way, and while it's not all the same quality throughout, it's got enough good stuff to make it worth the purchase. This is now going to be my go-to for adventures with new players, as it's lightweight and varied, and not a huge amount of effort or boredom to re-play.

My only criticism which may be due to my inexperience as an AL DM is that completing these mini adventures will blitz your players through the levels like there's no tomorrow. This is fine if you just want to chill in Phandalin, but there's a lot of other exciting See more Tier 1 content that I was hoping to play before they hit Tier 2.

Thanks for the pack It would be ideal if this pack included grid-less versions as well. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult on your end and it would save a ton of time aligning maps inside of Roll Thanks for these awesome maps!

I've tried uploading these files into Roll20, but a few of them seem like they are too large. Has anyone else had this issue? Got it figured out. Gotta have a paid subscription in order to upload higher image sizes, which these files have.

Hey, Cole. I noticed that there is a 5 MB max in Roll I believe only two of the maps are above this limit in size Split Passage and the Gnolls map. If you can please verify this with your upload issue, I will try to fix this by adding some lower file size versions.

Hi, Vincent. I tested opening the PDF on both my mac and my iPad and it worked on both. I would recommend trying on a different machine or making sure your Adobe software is up to date. Hope you enjoy them! It worked! Probably was an old Adobe version.

Awesome maps, saves me a lot of drawing! These are great maps, great quality! And I prefer these realistic look over a hand drawn look. They all include a grid, which is fine. But I would really love if both a grid and gridless version were included. Any chance in getting a gridless version?

Hi, Mark. Thank you! Glad you like them. These are made specifically for adventure play, so the grids are mandatory. The best I can do in that case is exclude the grid from areas that are normally impassable.
